Recommended Cabrio Carrier

"I’ve got two of these. My cats shared one originally but as they’ve got bigger I got another. Very sturdy, good edging inside to catch any accidents! Love the fact you can open front door or the top as one of my cats refuses to leave when she goes to the vet so she can be treated from inside! Unfortunately, one carrier’s front clip broke so I’ve had to cable tie the front door up & can only use top entry/exit. I know I can buy a replacement door which is great but, my box is grey, white & orange with white door & they only sell blue or turquoise! I keep one out all the time with the front door off as they sometimes like to sleep in it + that way doesn’t make vets trips seem so scary. Only downside now is storage for the other one when not in use & they are very heavy to carry if you’ve got two that need to go to the vets at the same time! Added pictures of my two when not going to the vet & using to relax in!"

Perfect spare part for my very old Cabrio !

"I bought my Cabrio cat carrier I am sure at least 20 years ago! It is pink and the catch on the door broke so I was fastening It closed with a ribbon! We have just got new kittens and I got it out and tried to close it -decided to google it and I found it on Catit! I looked on the Catit website and they did spare parts which I was so pleased about! They had a whole new door with locking clasp - But not in pink - so I went for a red door - ordered it and it was here very quickly- just took the only one off and slotted brand new red door on and it’s perfect! thank you!"

Not for the larger cat.

"As kittens my cats loved sharing one. As they grew older I bought another and they have one each. But my larger cat has totally outgrown her one. They also get very, very hot inside. The clear window is great for seeing out of, but lets so much light in. They don't have sufficient ventilation for longer car journeys. I will continue to shove them in for short to the vets, but something larger and more ventilated will have to be purchased for longer journeys. They are also quite heavy. I very much like the fact they can be given food without opening the door and am sad that there isn't something comfier and bigger to allow more movement for taller and longer cats."

Lovely functional carrier, with some security prob

"Great functional cat carrier, but I worry about the security of it. The handle at the front caught on a bush when arriving back home and the cat managed to jump out of the front of the carrier. Luckily we were at home! I have also velcroed the handles together at the top just in case."

Best travel box.

"One of our cats has to see a specialist every three months, it is a 60 mile trip each way, if she has an accident on route we can easily stop, take her out of the box, give the box a clean and put new puppy pads which we use to line the box. Then she travels in a clean dry box and is much happier. All our family have used these travel boxes for years. Even our vets think they are the best travel boxes."

Terrible product. I bought this

"Terrible product. I bought this on recommendation from our vet but I wish I had heeded the reviews. The carrier is incredibly flimsy and the plastic doesn't clip together easily at all so it's very difficult to assemble. By the time you have attached the top of the carrier, the cat would have run off! The plastic of the carrier we received seemed to have warped as the plastic parts didn't 'click' together and left gaps."

"This is the third one of these carriers I’ve purchased. Initially seems quite flimsy but sturdy once constructed. The top opening is great as one of my cats refuses to leave her box at the vets so this makes it easier for her to be checked over."
